Trail Running and Mountain Biking in the Warm Heart of Rural Spain.
Andalucia Trails is a family run business.
Based in Riofrio, a pretty village nestled in the heart of Southern Spain, Andalucia Trails is within the easy driving distance of both Granada and Malaga airports.
We provide guided mountain bike and trail running adventure holidays or training breaks for groups or individuals.
Daily schedules are tailor-made to suit requirements, from novices wanting to enjoy some exercise in new and stimulating scenery, to elite athletes looking to put in serious hours in a dedicated training camp.
Andalucia Trails offers an endurance adventure experience over terrain ranging from gentle country roads through asparagus fields and poplar plantations, jeep tracks through olive and almond groves, narrow trails through oak forests and river beds to rocky footpaths on mountains up to 1600m.
Who Are We?
...and What Do We Offer?
At Andalucia Trails we host running and mountain biking holidays or training camps for individuals or groups in the south of Spain. The business is run by Andrew and Abigail Tunstall from their home village of Riofrio near Loja, Granada in the region of Andalucia. Daily runs or rides are fully guided, with bike hire as an additional extra if you don't want to lug your own bike to Spain. Bed and breakfast is included in the daily price if you join for two days or more. We cater for all levels, from novices to elite athletes, and will tailor-make your schedule to suit your needs.
We speak English and Spanish and have a network of local friends we call on to cater for all your extra-curricular requirements (check out our photo album "Your Friends in Loja and Riofrio"), from running and bike shops, to bars, restaurants and purveyors of superior olive oil to ship home and impress your friends.
Both Andrew and Abi are national duathlon age-group champions with extensive training and racing experience at both cycling and running, and can't wait to share with you their love for the beautiful area they live in, as well as any technical or training guidance and tips you can use.
